kutokae is a practice-first platform built around one conviction: understanding how light behaves in a scene changes everything about how you photograph it.
We run structured online workshops for photographers across Poland - from complete beginners to working professionals refining a specific skill.
What the platform actually is
kutokae runs structured, assignment-driven workshops delivered entirely online. Each module is built around a specific lighting scenario - window light, overcast exteriors, artificial sources - and participants work through it with real cameras, not simulations.
Every assignment has a concrete output: a set of images, a written observation, or a technique comparison.
Geography used to determine who got access to good photography instruction. That gap is real and still largely unsolved. kutokae exists specifically to work around it - participants join from across Poland and complete the same curriculum regardless of where they live.
The people behind the workshops
The instructors at kutokae are working photographers - not full-time educators. That distinction matters because the feedback you receive comes from someone still solving the same problems in the field.
Workshops are kept small deliberately. Larger cohorts make individual feedback impractical, and individual feedback is most of the value.

Lead Instructor
Specialises in natural light - particularly the transition hours and overcast conditions that most photographers avoid. Has been shooting editorial work for regional publications since 2010.
Arkadiusz Śliwka
Workshop Facilitator
Focuses on artificial and mixed-source lighting. Runs the assignment review process and coordinates participant cohorts across all active workshop sessions.
